WAY TO REACH NORTHEAST

 

Though almost all the states have their proper airports, yet does not avail proper connectivity and accessibility. Therefore, Siiguri and Guwahati are the two main marks that associate the entire region of North-East India to the rest.

Assam: Guwahati is the capital of Assam and is very well connected to Delhi. The best way to reach Assam is via Delh-Guwahati Rajdhani Express.

Arunachal Pradesh: Tejpur is the nearest airport well linked to Guwahati and Harmuty being the nearest railhead.

Manipur: Regular flights from Imphal connect Manipur to Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati. Dimapur is the nearest railhead.

Meghalaya: Guwahati is the nearest major railhead from Shillong.

Mizoram: Aizwal is the capital of Mizoram which is linked with the Indian flights. Silchar having a good rail link with Guwahati is the nearest railhead to Aizwal.

Nagaland: Kohima is the capital of Nagaland.Thus, the nearest airport, as well as railhead Kohima is Dimapur.

Tripura: Tripura has their own airport in its capital, Agartala which is well-connected to Kolkata and Guwahati. Kumarghat on North East Frontier Railway is the nearest railhead.
