Tiger Hill

It is the highest point with an altitude of 8482 feet located 11 km from Darjeeling town. People head early morning towards the view point to witness the alluring orange and red sunrise landscape which is in no comparison with any other contentment.

Batasia Loop

There is no doubt if anyone misses a chance to enjoy a toy train ride around Batasia. It is an appealing area with a beautiful garden for capturing a panoramic view of Darjeeling. One can even walk through the large spiral loop enjoying the surrounding and studying greatest engineering feats.

Rock Garden

Another captivating area to visit in Darjeeling is the Rock Garden commonly known as 'Barbotey Garden' which is about 10km from Darjeeling. The land is an assembly of flower gardens with sitting areas at different levels along with a hill stream descending over rocky slopes.

Peace Pagoda

The Japanese Peace Pagoda is located on the slopes of Jalpahar hill that feature the four avatars of Lord Buddha. The main purpose of the monument is to deliver peace and prosperity.

The nearest airport is the Bagdogra airport which is 88kms from Darjeeling.

Railways

North Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) is the nearest railway station located at a distance of 10kms from Siliguri that connects all major cities of India. It is again a 3-4 hour ride on a vehicle to Darjeeling.

Roadways

The nearest airport and railway station being Bagdogra Airport and NJP respectively, road trip to the destination begins from here. Since Darjeeling is well-connected to other major towns and areas there is also the provision of rental vehicles which again carries a 3-4 hour scenic ride.
